Recruitment Cycle
The IDEX Fellowship selection process is highly competitive. Applicants progress through three application stages.
By the end of the process, IDEX will have narrowed the 800+ applications to 75-100 selected fellows. The 2012
Fellows will begin their fellowship July 2012 and continue until April 30, 2013.
IDEX recruitment begins in early fall through expansive on-campus recruitment throughout the U.S. and India and
online application submissions. Applications are open approximately 10 months before the anticipated start of the
fellowship with a deadline approximately 2-3 months prior to the acceptance. Our recruitment and acceptance dates
for in-country recruiting of the fellowship host country may vary.
IDEX hosts several campus visits and information sessions throughout the U.S. in addition to online sessions. To
